Newman ten year
Celebrating Ten Years of Jesuit Education in Uppsala!
2001-2011
In the last ten years, the Newman Institute has grown from offering a handful of courses to being a fully-accredited college with around 100 students enrolled in nearly 40 courses in theology, philosophy and cultural studies.
2011-2021
In the next ten years the objectives for the Institute are:
- To expand academic research and develop a doctoral program in theology.
- To broaden the curriculum and offer more continuing education opportunities, including courses in diplomacy/Catholic social teaching/professional ethics/leadership.
- To secure financial stability by building an endowment fund.
- To increase the readership of Signum, Sweden’s leading Catholic cultural magazine.
